Yes we did it!! The only things to be abandoned were a bucket, a colander and a wash up bowl (not bad eh?) As you can see we had rather a lot of luggage, but we managed. Good thing we are both fit!
Vancouver is a marvellous city, it's no wonder that for just about forever it's been listed among the top ten places to live in the world! What more could you want than the hustle and bustle of city life (complete with all the shopping you could possibly want! Mind you I'm only allowed to look NOT buy as we have no room left to carry anything!), sky scraping buildings dwarfed by the Coast Mountains behind, sail boats drifting in the foreground of False Creek and the beautiful Stanley Park enclosed by a seawall and leading to the golden sands of the gorgeous English Bay!
We had a great couple of days here doing the obligatory 'Bus Tour' and sight seeing on foot, checking out all the lovely little delis and trendy bars (ok and the cake shops - I was in CAKE HEAVEN!).
The second day we spent the whole afternoon in the park walking the seawall and then lazing on the beach in the glorious sunshine. We ended the day eating pizza on the beach and watching the sunset - eeeee there's nowt like it!
