Fiji - More from the other islands

Some more pictures from Fiji - we stayed at a few resorts - the best of them was Octopus Resort - we had a beautiful beach front Bure with a unique open air shower (that's me demonstrating). We made lots of friends there including Angela and Marco (see the next blog) and these two dodgy characters, Simon and Ros. Ros is from Whitely Bay, Simon is from Southampton but sounds just like Del-Boy. They're a great couple and they had a year off like us but they've done the trip the opposite way around - so they've been to lots of places we haven't and we were able to pick their brains. Ros is a lovely girl, Simon is a good surfer, tells funny jokes and does a great Elvis impersonation - he's what's known in the North East as 'a reet Clever Shite'.


You'll see in one of the pictures the staff of Octopus singing and waving on the beach for new arrivals, when each boat arrives (and leaves) - if you look carefully you'll see a new recruit on the end! You know she likes a good song and dance!

There are a few pictures at the end from the sailing safari - notice the one when Elvis and I (the Chief and Mrs Chief of the group) were meeting the chief of the village.

Just to reassure the girls, I am still manging to get in a little pampering and had four massages whilst in Fiji! Three of these were in a little shaded hut right on the beach front with the sounds of the waves lapping up on the shore - no need for your piped seashore music here! Also with our last ten Fijian dollars I managed to get a fifteen minute foot and leg rub at the airport!
