At the moment any attempt to download pictures are being stopped by the over-the-top security measures on all the computers that we've come across in the public libraries, we'll have to try some internet cafes -here's a quick summary of what we've been up to:
We left Angela and Marco on Tuesday 2nd October and collected our camper van - we then called to see Ben and Rachel (friends of friends) in Warkworth NZ, which is North of Auckland - we were going to go South but they took pity on us and offered us cake, tea, steak and ale pie and a bed for the night - we had a lovely evening with them at a quiz night (even though we only contributed with one answer!!). We left them on the morning and headed to Tawharuni (might be spelled wrong!) a regional park right next to the sea, we had a fantastic walk around the bay, and then went for cake and coffee at an award winning patisserie (you could have guessed that part) and then drove to Mahurangi regional park for our first night in the camper van - all went very well, even the weather was good. The next day we called back into Auckland to pick up a new camera (Sissy managed to get a full refund for the other one - hero status) and then we headed South towards Rotorua - which is where we are now. When we arrived we drove straight to the Skyline adventure centre and got on the ''luge''. To do this you take a gondola ride up to the top of the Mt Ngongotaha, then you get in a go-kart kind of thing, then race them down the mountain, you then get in a chairlift back to the top and do it all over again - we had a great time burning all the kids off!
We've just had tea in the camper van (first time) that went really well apart from Elvis complaining about portion sizes - i.e. Not Enough!!
The new camera has been in action again today - so when we get find a computer that will allow we'll blog

Glad to hear that Ben and Rachel took pity on you two poor sods. It is an awful pity that you have a year off work and are jaunting around the world. Yes, I'd say we all feel sorry for you! :)
