Golden Bay

These first 3 pics are from PuPu springs (as mentioned in the previous blog)

The 3rd picture is the drive from the springs - beautiful!

This is one of the views from one of the coastal walks in Golden Bay - there's lots of beautiful coves and bays. The day was also one of the few that we had uninterrupted sunshine, the fleeces actually came off that day (and THAT hat that Elvis insists on wearing - she even sleeps in it sometimes!!)

This is the Abel Tasman memorial - a free cup of tea to the first person that can tell what he's famous for - like all good tests, the answer is somewhere in the blog!!

Another picture of the bay

This is a hike to a massive waterfall - nobody told Elvis though that part of the hike included a walk over a wire bridge -one of Elvis's most hated devices!! She was very brave though and only looked down about 25 times, she even posed for a photo (well, she is a woman!)

This is us at Wainui Falls, we got a right 'drizzling' off the spray.

After that we visited 'The Grove' famous for the 'Kata' trees that grow through, around and on top of the limestone rocks. Some of the rocks crack open and make for lovely little gorges.

This is a crack through the limestone and the view from the other side
